Two Charities working with the blind and partially sighted are set to benefit from a run organised Blazing Bikers over the weekend of 4th – 7th May. Billy and Katriona Shanahan have put together a trip to Scotland on the May bank Holiday that includes 3 nights B&B, ferry crossing, gala dinner, DVD and many other goodies. The proceeds from the event will go towards The Irish Guide Dogs and The NCIB.

A good few Tipp bikers enjoyed a great day out at the Cork Show put on by Cork Motorcycle and Vintage Racing Club. Good weather and a lot to see made it an excellent day out on the bike. Steve Thornton and Jack Leonard had organised a stand promoting both the rally and the Tipp Bikers meets. They sold a fair few raffle tickets whilst there and did an excellent job in spreading the word. We hope to welcome both the CMVRC and plenty of riders from the city to the rally this Easter.

There will be a group of Tipp Bikers heading of for Cork Sunday Morning. Meeting at the Amber Service Station, Bansha Road at 10:45 they will be leaving at 11:00 sharp.
On Sunday 4th of March there will be a bike run in aid of The Fiona Power Fund. The run will start off from O’Heneys Car Park, Bansha at 10am and the route will take riders down to Clonmel, Dungarvan and then along the Copper Coast Route to Tramore and back via Waterford.
The next meet is at Ballyglass on Wednesday the 8th of Feb from 8 O’clock onwards. We look forward to seeing you all there.
A handy spin on Sunday, 29th January. Leaving Tipp Amber station around 10.00am heading to Cashel and on to Thurles, Nenagh, Portumna, Scarriff, Killaloe, Limerick and home. Simple rules: stay in staggered formation where possible, don’t overtake your fellow group riders till the next stop and if you find the pace too slow, head off in front for the next section, no hassle, no problem. Come home safe and sound.

Cork Motorcycle and Racing Vintage Club are holding their annual show on 19th February at the Silversprings Hotel, Cork. Doors open at 11am and it looks like they are going to have plenty of interest there. Could be worth a rideout!
Their website is here – CMRVC
The first meet of the new year is on Wednesday 11th of January, 8pm onwards at Ballyglass hotel. There are many of us looking forward to the new biking season so this will be the ideal opportunity to get a few ideas together for runs and events.

No word on the St Stephens day run but there will be a get together at Cornys Pub on Friday night (23rd) from 8:30 onwards. Be good to see you all there to make it a good ‘un.
Corny’s s is on the Limerick road out of Tipp town, just down from the Topaz garage.
It’s been suggested that Tipp Bikers meet for a drink before Christmas, perhaps Corneys pub on Friday 23rd. An easy going ride out on St Stevens day has also been mentioned.
Any takers?
